Linda is passionate about assisting individuals at all levels manage their career. She has a special talent for helping individuals better understand their strengths, interests, career goals, and the types of positions where their skills, experience, strengths, and natural personality is well positioned for success and happiness.

Linda’s passion to help individuals step into a position and profession where they are well matched and set up to thrive while achieving success and happiness was a big factor contributing to her success as Director of Human Resources and valued member of the leadership team at a multi-billion dollar international manufacturer.  At Hemphill, Linda is having fun helping individuals achieve their goals every day.

I enjoy walking through an individual's career with an eye on achievements, outcomes, and the factors contributing to those results because these are the building blocks of effective career management.  Helping an individual understand their most significant strengths, and the type of work that inspires them is very rewarding. I enjoy helping individuals refine their short and long-term career goals, then mentor individuals through a successful job search.  I take pride while drafting their resume, and LinkedIn career profile that accurately highlights their previous responsibility, experience, accomplishments and goals. We introduce job search strategies, and help individuals take ownership for their search and career management.  We help individuals with practice interviews and then teach them how to set and harvest benefits from informational interviews that often times reveal attractive career opportunities that are not public.  I have a lot of fun helping individuals achieve their full potential while living a better life!” 

Linda leads our outplacement, career coaching, and resume writing services while assisting individuals who are in transition, changing professions, being considered for a promotion with their current employer, strategically managing their career, and others who are in consideration or pursuing a board member position. 

Linda grew up in Raymond, Nebraska, earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln while working full-time. Linda thrived in her career,  earning numerous promotions as she took on more responsibility, and larger leadership positions in human resources.  Her career journey took  her to Houston, then Dallas, Texas before moving back to her home state of Nebraska.  Linda has earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Certified Facilitator (MBTI), and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certifications. She is an active member of Human Resource Association of the Midlands (HRAM), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Professional Association of Resume Writers (PARW), and the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches (PARWCC).  

Linda and her husband Mark live on an acreage outside of Gretna and are very proud of their three children, two grandchildren, and two very active goldendoodle’s Wilson and Sampson! They are active members of Journey Church in Gretna, where Linda is a member of the Leadership Team, and volunteers caring for two and three year olds every other Sunday. Linda loves spending time with family, cooking, baking, watching Husker football & volleyball, reading, crocheting and discovering ways of incorporating more ‘natural’ elements into life (homemade breads, ice cream, soap, herbal medicine, etc.).
