• Take ownership for General Ledger accounting, working closely with the Controller as you take responsibility for key pieces of the financial close, reporting, and analysis of financial statements in QuickBooks
• Play a lead role in the Payroll process as you are the key person processing payroll in Paychex
• Communicate with employees outside of accounting as you answer questions about their paychecks
• Work closely with the accounting team, as everyone is cross-trained and able to back each other up, allowing you to take a day off without the work piling up in your absence
