Accounting Assistant - Quiet, Refreshingly Peaceful West Omaha Office

Wonderful opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who would love to work in a quiet office with little to no distractions, allowing you to put your head down and focus on your work without phones ringing or people talking.  Our client is a very stable 50+ year old business that is highly profitable and steadily growing.  Work directly for a Controller who has been with this company for over 20 years, who is organized, focused and calm.

 

• Take ownership for all aspects of Accounts Payable including opening the mail, coding invoices to the general ledger, preparing checks and wire transfers and communicating with vendors
• Generate invoices for billing purposes and handle all facets of accounts receivable with very limited collections (this company works with many customers based in small towns who are conditioned to pay bills immediately upon receipt)
• Assist the Controller with General Ledger activities and the Month End process
• Ensure that vendor file maintenance is current and up to date
• Work on special projects using Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
